Resumen
Este artículo examina las propiedades colativas y restauradoras del diseño urbano desde la perspectiva de la psicología ambiental, centrándose en el concepto del “tercer paisaje” propuesto por Gilles Clément. A través de un análisis teórico, se articulan los fundamentos de la percepción estética del entorno urbano, la teoría de la restauración ambiental y la valoración de espacios no convencionales en la ciudad. Se incorporan estudios contemporáneos sobre percepción, bienestar y diseño urbano, con el fin de comprender cómo los espacios marginales pueden contribuir a la restauración psicológica y la calidad ambiental. El artículo concluye que el diseño urbano debe considerar no solo los elementos formales del paisaje, sino también los aspectos simbólicos y experienciales que aportan los espacios espontáneos o residuales.
